You asked if I thought the Apple Pie yarn was stratchy. No, not at all. It does have a different feel from other sock yarns. It's not soft and squishy -- it's soft and it has substance. But, I must also say that my favourite socks used to be made from Lopi, so my "itch factor" is fairly high. If you truly are allergic to mohair, though, it's probably not something you want to play around with. (Sorry to answer through your comments, but I can't find an email addy.)
